FAQ
Answers to the questions municipal utilities and contractors ask us most about dredging robots.
What is the safest way to clear a blocked sewer pipe?
When sediment is heavy or toxic gas is present, the safest method is a dredging robot that enters the pipe, breaks up and crushes the sediment and extracts it, with a surface suction truck for hauling. No man-entry is required, eliminating confined-space risks such as hydrogen sulfide exposure.
What is the minimum pipe diameter your robots work in?
Our delivered models can work inside 450mm pipes (the three-track crawler suction robot with tracks that adapt to 450-600mm). Heavy-duty models are available for 800mm+ pipes. For special diameters, contact us for a custom evaluation.
What if the asset owner bans high-pressure water jetting?
Mechanical suction dredging robots are the best answer. In one Hong Kong project — where water jetting was explicitly banned — a 450-600mm crawler suction robot working with a suction truck completed the job with a pull force of over 200kg.
Can the robot handle tangled waste like textiles and plastic bags?
Yes. For wet wells full of tangled waste (snack wrappers, gloves, socks), we add a pre-pump intake grid with a cutter roller brush that shreds the tangles before pumping. This configuration was delivered for a Singapore project covering 72 ageing pump stations.
Will the equipment corrode in seawater environments?
No. For saline conditions — such as cities where seawater is used for toilet flushing, like Hong Kong — the entire machine is built from 316/316L stainless steel for long-term corrosion resistance.
Can the robot be deployed through narrow hatches?
Yes. In the Singapore project the robot had to be lowered from basement level 2 through a hatch right against the wall where no ordinary crane could be positioned. We designed a custom compact manual hoist specifically for this deployment.
Do you offer OEM/ODM customization for our conditions?
Yes. With our own factory, we custom-build robots to your pipe diameter, pull force, hose length, hoisting method and corrosion requirements. We serve customers across Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, backed by 100+ global partners.
What is the lead time and after-sales support?
Lead time depends on configuration, typically 4-12 weeks for standard and custom builds. We provide remote commissioning guidance, spare parts supply and engineer support. Our equipment runs in overseas projects including Hong Kong and Singapore, with proven cross-border delivery and service experience.
