How to Choose a Dredging Robot: Pipe Size, Conditions, Hoisting & Corrosion

Four selection factors: pipe diameter range, sediment nature, on-site hoisting constraints and corrosion environment. OEM/ODM customization is the best answer to special conditions.

When procuring a dredging robot, evaluate these four factors:

  1. Pipe diameter range: define the min/max diameters and whether variable track width is needed (e.g. three-track design for 450-600mm);
  2. Sediment nature: compacted sludge needs a cutter; tangled waste (textiles, bags) needs a cutter roller brush;
  3. Hoisting & deployment: hatch position, basement levels and narrow spaces may require a custom compact hoist;
  4. Corrosion: saline conditions (seawater flushing) demand a full 316/316L stainless steel body.

For special conditions, standard products are rarely optimal. We offer OEM/ODM customization — pipe size, pull force, hose length and hoisting method can all be engineered to your site.
